Air Europa is Spain's third-largest airline and a major transatlantic carrier, headquartered at Madrid-Barajas Airport. Founded in 1986, the airline operates an all-Boeing fleet and has established itself as a leading bridge between Europe and Latin America, serving over 50 destinations across 30 countries.

As a full member of the SkyTeam alliance since 2007, Air Europa provides seamless connections to 1,000+ destinations worldwide through partner airlines including Delta, Air France-KLM, and Aeromexico. The airline holds 15% of slots at Madrid-Barajas, making it the second-largest carrier at its hub after Iberia.

Air Europa operates 22 long-haul routes (20 to Latin America), positioning itself as the fourth-largest carrier on Europe-Latin America routes. The airline is privately owned by Globalia, Spain's largest tourism group. IAG (parent of Iberia and British Airways) holds a 20% minority stake following the termination of their proposed acquisition in August 2024.

ATR Fleet Restrictions: Flights operated by ATR aircraft have stricter limits: 55 x 35 x 20 cm (21.6 x 13.7 x 7.8 in) with an 8 kg (17 lbs) weight limit.
