Air Arabia is the Middle East's first and largest low-cost carrier, headquartered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Founded in 2003, the airline pioneered the budget travel model in the region and has since grown to serve over 170 destinations across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, and Europe.

The airline operates primarily with an all-Airbus fleet of approximately 85 aircraft, including A320ceo, A321ceo, and A321LR models. In 2025, Air Arabia began receiving its first A320neo aircraft, with deliveries continuing from a 120-aircraft order placed in 2019. The airline is publicly traded on the Dubai Financial Market, making it one of the few publicly listed low-cost carriers in the world.

Air Arabia operates through multiple hubs including its main base at Sharjah International Airport (SHJ), with additional operations through subsidiary airlines Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, Air Arabia Maroc (Morocco), Air Arabia Egypt, and the joint venture Fly Jinnah in Pakistan. The carrier was named "Low-Cost Carrier of the Year" at the 2025 Aviation Business Middle East Awards.

Important: Air Arabia enforces cabin baggage limits. If your bag exceeds limits at the boarding gate, a fee of AED 100 ($27) per piece applies. Oversized items may require checking at additional cost.

Size Limits:

If splitting allowance: When splitting 30 kg or 40 kg into two bags, each bag must not exceed 32 kg individually.
