Introduction
Naples International Airport (NAP), also known as Capodichino Airport, is southern Italy's busiest airport and the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, Pompeii, Capri, and one of Europe's most vibrant cities. Located just 6 km (4 miles) northeast of Naples city center, it handles over 12 million passengers annually and serves as a base for easyJet, Ryanair, Volotea, and Wizz Air.
The airport has a single terminal building divided into three sections:
- Section A (Upper level): Schengen departures with 11 gates
- Section B (Ground level airside): Schengen flights with 9 gates
- Section C (Ground level airside): Non-Schengen departures with 5 gates
Important note: Naples Airport does not have jet bridges. All boarding is done via buses or walk-boarding to aircraft parked on the apron.
The terminal is compact and easy to navigate, with check-in, security, and departures on the upper level, and arrivals and baggage claim on the ground floor. The airport has 53 check-in desks, 7 baggage claim belts, 16 e-Gates for automated passport control, and 10 manual passport control points.
Airport closure note: The airport closes nightly from 10:30 PM to 3:30 AM. A major runway renovation will close the airport entirely from January 19 to March 1, 2026.

Major banks with ATMs:

Currency exchange: Bureaux de change are available but offer poor rates. Use ATMs instead.
Tips:
- Always decline "dynamic currency conversion" - choose to be charged in euros
