Introduction
Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport (TAO) serves Qingdao, the coastal city famous for Tsingtao Beer and German colonial heritage. The new airport opened in 2021, located 55 km northwest of the city center, replacing the former Liuting Airport.
The airport has a single massive terminal with a distinctive "starfish" design. Modern, spacious, and one of China's newest major airports.
Note: The new airport is significantly farther from downtown than the old one. Plan travel time accordingly.
