Introduction
Corfu International Airport "Ioannis Kapodistrias" (CFU) serves Corfu, the greenest of the Greek islands and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Ionian Sea. Located just 3 km south of Corfu Town, it's famous for its dramatic runway that appears to jut into the sea.
The airport has a single terminal with basic facilities. One of Greece's busiest in summer, it handles heavy charter traffic from across Europe.
Important: The runway is short (2,375m) and approaches over water. Watching planes land from the nearby beach is a popular attraction.
Key airlines: Aegean Airlines, Sky Express, Ryanair, easyJet, British Airways, TUI, Jet2, and numerous European charter operators.
