About

JetSMART is South America's leading ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC), headquartered in Santiago, Chile. Founded in 2017, the airline has grown rapidly to become the largest ULCC in the region, operating across Chile, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, and serving international routes to Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, and other South American destinations.

JetSMART is part of the Indigo Partners portfolio, alongside Frontier Airlines (USA), Volaris (Mexico), and Wizz Air (Europe). This ownership structure has enabled the airline to adopt proven ULCC operational practices and secure favorable aircraft orders. The airline operates an all-Airbus A320 family fleet of approximately 48 aircraft across its subsidiaries (JetSMART Chile, JetSMART Argentina, JetSMART Peru, and JetSMART Colombia), with plans to expand to 100+ aircraft by 2029.

In 2024, JetSMART became the first airline to adopt American Airlines' AAdvantage program as its own loyalty program, allowing passengers to earn and redeem AAdvantage miles on JetSMART flights.
